[Filter: Private]I ran into Marshall yesterday.
Since I've never been one to read the society pages, I pretty much lost track of him after the engagement was off. I did know he married a year after and had a son, but I never met him in person again until now. He almost didn't recognize me with this hair color at first - didn't help that there was some sort of mix up at the salon and I ended up with a reddish shade - but was pretty excited after he realized who I was. Afterwards, it was all coffee and nice conversation when he started insinuating we'd go somewhere more private. Just like last time we met, he stormed out after I told him no.
While sometimes I wondered what would have happened if I chosen him over my career, this just reminds I truly have no regrets about the choices I've made. The job is hard, not to mention dangerous, but it is rewarding. Certainly more rewarding than marrying a good, but overly controlling and ill-tempered man.
[/Filter]Yes, I am aware that my hair is a entirely different color these days. No, it was not some bizarre accident down at medical.
Do you think we'd actually let some like that happ... don't answer that..
[Filter: All Personnel]Let's focus on more pressing matters. For example, those of you avoiding the Medical Department if you were injured after a mission. You know who you are.
I shouldn't have to remind you that
you can run, but can't hide as much as you hate coming to us, it is procedure. An unattended injury can lead to worse things in the future and prevent you from full performance on the field. Anyone who insists on this behavior will be reported to the Head of their Department.
